We at MINT are so happy to have the pleasure of doing your hair! With the current situation going on in our world we are happy to share with you the extra steps we are taking at our space to ensure your safety!
Due to COVID-19 we ask that you come alone to your appointments as we try to keep all unnecessary persons out of the salon to help prevent the spread! For children's haircuts we ask that only one parent or guardian accompanies them!

Immediately upon arrival into the salon all clients and staff have their temperature taken and recorded. Any temp over 100.4° we will ask you to reschedule your appointment or send the staff member home for the day!
After having your temperature taken we ask a few questions about if you had any symptoms of COVID or have been outside of the USA in the past 14 days!
After each entry or exit from the front door whether that be client or staff we sanitize and disinfect the door for the next person! We also do this after each use of the restroom to ensure each point of contact is sanitized!
We ask that any and all non vaccinated clientele over the age of 2 wears a mask of some sort that covers their nose and mouth while in the salon!
For the safety and comfort of our clients we invested in 6.5ft tall plexiglass dividers that are in place in between each station to help keep distance
Each client that comes in the door is also given a robe to put on that is sanitized and disinfected between each use!
We also ensure to sanitize and disinfect in between each use of the stylist chairs and shampoo bowls
Each and every implement that is used on a client is cleaned, sanitized and disinfected in between each client!
We are happy to offer hand sanitizer at multiple points around the salon!
We ask that you please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment to avoid scheduling fees! We understand that schedules are busy and sometimes require last minute change, we are more than happy to get you rescheduled. We do require a credit card on file at the time of booking. This will only be charged if there is a cancellation fee in place as a result of the 24 hour late cancel or no show.
We carry multiple product lines to fit all of your hair care needs including Kevin Murphy, STMNT, Olaplex, and Davines. Feel free to give us a call or stop by if you have any questions on what products would be best for your hair!
Our stylists allow walk in appointments if there is availability within their schedule that day. To secure a spot with your stylist for a specific day or time we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance, which can be done through our website or by giving us a call at 319-569-2460.
We are located at 1301 South Gilbert Street in Iowa City, Suite 1. Parking is available right outside our front door!
For men's haircuts we offer a complimentary clean-up for clients two to three weeks after their appointment to trim up the neck and sides of the face, this takes about fifteen minutes and is great for staying sharp in between haircuts.
In the event you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, we have implemented a 50% cancellation fee! In the event of a no call/no show appointment, we will charge 100% of the missed service to the credit card on file! please understand that our stylists time is valuable!
In the event a product is not to your liking we can offer a return or replacement up to 10 days past the purchase date.
